I have this odd attraction to a friend of mine who works at my college. It's a powerful thing. The weird thing is, she's a good looking lady and all, but she's not exactly dropping guys to their knees. Basically, she's not like all my ex-girlfriends (i.e. perfect bodies and beautiful faces...and INSANE!). But she's wildly intelligent and so fucking fun to be around. When I was still going to class I used to swing by her class, which let out right before mine started next door, and damned if half the time I didn't end up sitting with her in the teacher's work room talking for hours. Her intelligence is so powerfully sensual it confuses me, as I tend to be an incredibly shallow person when it comes to physical attraction (say what you will, at least I fucking admit it).
It was mother fucking FREEEEEEEEEZING outside this morning. Christ, it was like thirty-one degrees in my neighborhood!!!!
The crazy thing is just a couple days ago it was almost ninety degrees. And this thirty-degree weather, I just ain't used to it anymore.
I stepped outside at like four in the morning to go get cigarettes, wearing shorts and sneakers and a wife beater and thought "Wow, this is nice. The air is crisp and cold." But during the walk from my front door to my truck I noticed something; it kept getting colder and colder. Eventually I got to my truck and sat down in it and was shuddering violently. I turned on the engine and the heater came on full blast, but the engine wasn't warmed up yet, so I literally laughed and turned it off (if i got to freeze, might as well find humor in it).
At the gas station were two of the most beautiful stray dogs I've ever seen. I wanted to throw them in the back of my truck and take them home, but my back yard isn't big enough for a cat, let alone two seventy-five pound dogs.
