OK, so My Day; Revisited.
Woke up waaaay too late, but enjoyed every second of it. As I climbed up out of the darkness of a good night's slumber I somehow knew that this had been the first night of undisturbed sleep I've had in a very, very long time. On this point I half expected to find someone else in bed with me (don't you hate it when this happens? I can't remember a woman's name even when I remember having sex with her - let alone if I mysteriously wake up next to her). Yet, no woman to be found (my record remains intact...though I do not like it's chances for surviving this weekend).
I hauled ass to the courthouse, JP#3 (Justice of the Peace courthouse #3). This JP office is, by far, the worst in the fucking city. I waited longer to get a piece of paper to fill out then I did to fill it out, file it, select a court date, and pay for it. All because the bitch behind the desk was trying to ignore me until I made a scene and the deputy stepped in and got her to get me the piece of paper.
I went to my doctor's appointment after getting a cup of cappuccino - not burned this time and VERY fucking good. Good enough to even be worth the price hike. Visit went well, even copped some drugs out of him (as usual
).
Went to Dilliards for clothes. Where the fuck did the Macy's at the mall go??
Ended up buying a ridiculously expensive dress shirt (I have never spent that much on one article of clothing...hell, I haven't spent that much on a sheet of acid but we won't go there). But the shirt is sooooo awesome. Seriously. I just wish I'd had time to get it tailored a little - but if I had gotten it tailored it wouldn't look good now that I think about it. I also bought some killer slacks and a belt. Then went to Wal-Mart for long johns (it's cold in Seattle...though right now it's in the high forties in my city for some god foresaken reason) and black socks and a small carry on bag and, apparently, a DVD of "Romper Stomper" (god bless hate crime movies
).
Then I got my perscription filled and came home. Something else happened in here, but it slips my mind. That happens - I have a touch of temporary Dementia. It'll come to me later.
So I've decided to embark on a small quest - I will read my entire collection of encyclopedias (purchased at a thrift store for an amazing sixteen bucks; and it's fuly complete!).
Here's how the conversation in my head went;
- Wow, wouldn't it be cool if I read an entire set of encyclopedias??
- Arrg, matie, me thinks you bite of more then you can chew!
- Nah! Besides, I might learn a lot!
-Scally wag! Think! Use that third testicle you call a brain for a second! An ENTIRE set of encyclopedias?!? You be crazy with lust for knowledge! Even God can't do that without smitting a third world country during a bought of frustration!
- Shut up and drink ye rum, idiot! I can do it! Like that time I...well...what about the time I -
- Tried to read the Bible? Remember how that ended?
- It wasn't so bad!
- You swashbuckling idiot, you ended up drinking yourself to sleep every night with exasperation!
- Only some nights! Besides, Jesus' first miracle was turning water to wine, so he can't be against my drinking!
- Wine, not beer you idiot!
- I'm going to do it anyway! You're just that ugly little voice on my shoulder that tries to talk me out of stupid shit...err...I mean my infinitely good ideas!
Needless to say, won, so I shall be embarking on my literary journey sometime next week...if I don't forget about it over the weekend...
