Well, that sucks. I thought my court time today was ten o' clock. Turns out it's eleven. Wish I would have noticed that before I set my alarm clock - I could have really used an extra hour of sleep. Now I have to sit around for an hour doing nothing. I want to go to Hog Wild Records, the only place in this city worth a damn when it comes to finding cool records like SPK and Skinny Puppy and Throbbing Gristle and stuff like that. They have it all, and if they don't have it, they'll order it for free - even rare stuff out of the UK. Unfortunately, I cannot go because it's down town and I run the serious risk of getting stuck in traffic or behind an accident or something. If I miss this court date, I have a lot of explaining to do, and none of it's good. Besides, I get like a hundred and something dollars just to drive over there, stand in line for fifteen minutes, stand up when the judge calls my name, show him a piece of paper, and leave. That's it. Shit, on the way back I'll even be able to stop at Jason's Deli for lunch AND Starbucks for some coffee. Maybe I'll just go to Hog Wild from there - if I'm quick enough, I can miss the lunch hour traffic. If not, I still have some kick ass old tapes I found with the aforementioned music on them.
Oh, I bought a new Hunter S. Thompson book; an autobiography of sorts - "Kingdom of Fear". Very kick ass book - I was a little worried he was going to lose some of his style in his old age. I mean, e-gats, man! This fucker drops acid and smokes grass and drinks like a fucking fish, and he's in his late sixties to late seventies (no one knows really how old he is, but he was in his thirties in the early Seventies, so that say a lot).
Oh man, I forgot I have a doctor's appointment today at eleven-thirty. Fuck. That's gonna be cutting it close. I'll just call them at eleven-thirty and say I'm going to be running a little late. So long as I say something like my car broke down, they'll just reschedule me a little later despite their "being booked solid". Lying bastards, they always say that. Doctors are just lazy - god forbid one of their patients got in way of their tee off time.
I'm pissed that Ani DiFranco doesn't do more Southern tour dates. In fact, she rarely does any. I know of one in my neck of the woods in the last couple years and, of fucking course!, I missed it. Up in Austin. She was playing. All by her lonesome. And I missed it. Because I got into a fight. With this psychotic, but naturally beautiful, chick I was seeing. I should have just went without her and picked up some other chick in Austin.
Today is going to be a good day today if I can keep myself from getting too lazy. The court session will put a little over a hundred bucks in my pocket, I need to clean a house which'll put about a hundred and fifty in my pocket, I need to do some repairs on another house, which'll puck about fifty to seventy-five in my pocket (depending on my mood when I type up the work order), and then I have to drive around posting eviction notices for lazy people who pay their rent late. Oh! And when I do that I can finally get some work done on a tenants house I've been meaning to get to. But I wouldn't get paid as much cause I charge a fee just to show up, but since I have to go their on official business, I don't get the fee (it's confusing) - but right now, it's been so long I just want to get it out of the fucking way.
My buddy shows up tonight, and I still haven't cleaned this horrible apartment. A couple weeks of sickness, followed by almost a whole week of drunkeness (made all the worse by my idleness due to lack of a vehicle), have taken a back toll on my apartment. Beer and soda cans everywhere, pizza boxes stacked to the ceiling in the kitchen, multiple trash cans in need of emptying....this will surely be a busy day...

Have fun cleaning.
I want to read so many books it's overwhelming. Everyone has two or three good suggestions and next thing I know, I have several hundred books I need to read.
