Also bought Henry Rollins BLACK COFFEE BLUES. Kept hearing about it, but then saw how little it was an wondered if it was worth the cost. Opened it up and read this passage, which not only changed my mind, but changed my entire perspective of Henry Rollins...
#108: At school, he was called "The Elephant Man". He was fat and ugly. He wasn't stupid. A lot of people think that goes along with being overweight and not looking like a male model. Like people think that beautiful blonde women are air-headed. He was tormented constantly at school. The little pieces of shit would never know his world. Everywhere he went, people freaked out on hium. He knew more about people than anyone thought possible. He knew that he was a different animal than they were. He saw how weak and surface level the values of a lot of people's entire lives were based upon. Not that this understanding does you any good when you're alone in your room and you're lonely as hell."
holy shit...wow...all i can say to that is "wow"....if that doesn't make you think, you need to open a few more books and expand your mind.
i love making enough money that I can go to Barnes and Noble and buy five books without a thought. I bought DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP (the book that was turned into the movie BLADE RUNNER) by Phillip K. Dick, FRANKENSTEIN by Mary Shelley and HEART OF DARKNESS by Joseph Conrad (those two available at BN for like five bucks), BLACK COFFEE BLUES by Henry Rollins, and VOICES OF THE WINDS by Margot Edmonds and Ella E. Clark.
I still think KERRY won the debate. He had Dubya on the run like a scared puppy.
Also, I totally support the right of famous people to beat up the Paparazzi (I think the paparazzi are fucking scum...the bottom of the barrel...this is why I hate E! and all those shitty shows).
I am still thinking about Mr. Rogers and am still very sad. I truly wish I could have met him and shaken his hand and given him a huge. He's the shit, dead or alive he's still my hero.

Actually, I think they left town for the weekend or something, they didn't come home last night.

Well, my first choice was Mr. Picnic, but he seemed to forget who I was. I sent him a few emails and even filled out the form on his site. All we had to do was set up a date, then I didn't hear from him. So I emailed him again and he wanted me to do it all over again and assumed I didn't know it would be a 17 hour drive. I was more than willing to make the trip, but he kinda blew me off. So I wasted a month of time I could've spent finding a guy out here. Anyway, I found someone, but he's really busy. He's cool as hell and wants to do something with a more traditional pinup feel to it. We're supposed to do the shoot in a couple of weeks. I just want to submit a set already!!
