found a place to fish in my back yard, practically. well, there already was one, but this is a river. supposed to be a good catfishing river - the Medina River, which comes out of Medina Lake. Oddly enough, the record fish caught in the River are much bigger than those caught in the Lake.

The portion of the river near me is in pretty bad shape, though. I can't tell if it's polluted or not. I saw no water snakes, cottonmouths or frogs, but did find a huge loggerhead (??????) turtle. That's a good sign, except it was dead. But it might have been dead cause it was so old. Had to have been, it was too big to be polluted (besides, the real bad pollution came through a month or so ago after the train accident upstream - literally upstream, it was like a quarter of a mile). There were a lot of people, surprisingly, there; dirty Mexicans. My favorite kind.

They seemed oddly hostile towards me though. Kind of off putting, haven't had Mexicans be hostile to me in a while. I've been a white boy in the really bad neighborhoods for so long it just doesn't happen anymore, and when it does it shocks me. Good thing I didn't show up in clean clothes .

Lindy enjoyed her rock climbing experience. I'm happy to hear that, that sport is a mother fucker! I miss it! I used to climb in Yosemite; awesome!
