I know no one read my previous journal so early in the morning, but I shall continue as someone has.
So the 550 Looper bus doesn't go to my college. But the 551 Looper does, by way of the 520 bus. Gonna cost me two bucks for a round trip (with two transfers). Am seriously contemplating just getting a $20 student semester pass and using that most days - it's cheaper than gas and with the gapes in my schedule I'd have nothing to do but study.
My truck is going to get towed soon. Lo and behold, the fucking tire's flat, too. Go figure. Kind of expected this, that tire always goes flat (even when I get a new one, it's no time at all before it goes flat...the wheel's not out of alignment or anything, it's just one of those spooky things).

So I'm showered, almost shaved, and have all my chores done except to go to school early and get my books. I keep getting these weird headaches. I think it's because I've seriously eaten like three meals in four days (if those mini cans of chili count as a meal). Hopefully I'll have some time at school to hit up the cafeteria. I have never once eaten there, so it should be worth a try. The food smells good, and that's half the battle.
By the way, am rereading "Cat's Cradle" by Vonnegut (again). Love his books. Mother Night, god, that should be required reading (and I HATE books about that time period). Sirens of Titan and Slaughterhouse Five should also be required reading. The only thing he ever did that I really didn't like was "Timequake", but, then again, I haven't read everything he's written (I thumbed through "Bluebeard" and was less than enthralled).
Need to check and see if my library at school has "Still Life with Woodpecker". That book kicks ass. All of Tim Robbins' books kick ass, but especially that one.
Oh yeah, and the fucking Giants AND Cubs are tied for the Wild Card Spot as of midnight last night. Boo-ya!!!!! Fuckin' A!!!!!! The only two sport's teams I love more than anything and it looks like they WILL have to duke it out for the chance to represent the National League in the World Series...the only thing that could be better than those four games would be if the Giants won and then went on to kick the Yankee's ASSES in the World Series....oh my god, I got a futurethink orgasm on that one

Frankly, it's because it would be the most enjoyable games of my life. No matter which team did best, I would enjoy every play by both sides; every home run, every stolen base, every good pitch. It'd be like heaven. then, no matter who won (I'm more biased towards the GIANTS by quite a bit, but if they lost I'd want nothing more than for them to lose to the CUBS), it'd still be one of my two favorite teams representing in the World Series (which sucked last year - wow, so the Yankees got there again! note the sarcasm...fuckin' yankees can suck my big hairy donkey balls....). I'd love to see the GIANTS totally hand the Yankee's their asses at the World Series...that would be beyond joy for me...well, if Derek Jeter and Barry Bonds somehow ended up throwing punches, that would kick ass too (but then both teams would lose their best players and the remaining games might not be so interesting...)...fuckin' catch-22s...story of my life....
