Didn't get to Sin 13 tonight, but had an interesting evening, to say the least.
Saw an old coworker's daughter today. Apparently she is now all grown up and works with my friend at Bennigan's. She's pretty damn hot, but a major slut (aren't we all?). Thinking of maybe hooking up with her and her korean friend and my neighbor to drink beers and smoke cigarettes and see where the night goes.
While at Bennigan's, waiting for my friend to finish closing, I finally got to try Guinness beer from a tap. Must say, was very, very surprised. First few sips kind of threw me off, but by the bottom of the pint I knew I'd found the best beer around. Not the kind I'd drink more than once a week, or even a month, but a very damn good beer. Very thick and kind of coffeeish, which is strange because I hate thick beers and am very particular about the kind of coffee I like. My friend tried it and almost threw up, so it's definitely not for everyone. Still, worth trying, just drink half the pint before you give up; like wine, it's an acquired taste. Will admit that this beer was much stronger than I had anticipated. I was actually buzzing off of two pints.
Well, now you know how interesting my night was if a pint or two at a Bennigan's bar was the highlight of my night. I also bought some movies at Blockbuster (Akira, Enemy at the Gates and Adaptation) despite the fact that I hate Blockbuster. I've been meaning to see Akira forever. I like Cowboy Bebop, and have seen some of Perfect Blue, and for the most part kind of like anime (no, not Dragon Ball Z, I never had the time to bother trying to understand it). Akira turned out to be as bad ass as I've been told. When my anime addicted friend told me that it was the seminal work of anime, even though it's over twenty years old, he wasn't fucking kidding. This movie kicks ass!
Cleaned my apartment, too. Big surprise, as I never clean my apartment unless someone is coming over (and even then it has to be a likely to be giving sex someone). I need to get rid of a lot of my crap; my couch, my dresser, my crappy little table, my arm chair. I need one more futon and some papisan chairs and then I'll be fine (once the aforementioned crap is gone).
