Has anyone ever noticed the used radiator shop at the top of Prospect St?

I'd never seen it until sapphic_plastic and I were out Friday afternoon. It' looks like a particularly odd scene out of some unimaginably weird post-apolcalyptic movie. Except the building has windows, instead of holes in the wall.

sapphic_plastic couldn't get enough of the button bin at Sew Low.

On Saturday, sapphic_plastic, Pavlik, and I all wore yellow shirts to Portsmouth, NH

jeebustheimpaler was very angry that he missed the memo

We mostly did things that could well have been done in Boston, like having lunch, drinks, ice cream, and a nice walk.

After an unsuccessful attempt to get kay_ to join us at Charlies, we met up with everyone and took each other's pictures until well into the night.

There are a bunch more photos at my flickr page.

(I have co-opted two of Pavlik's photos for this entry. I will continue to do so until he has an SG account through which he can share them with you.)

edit: Oh yeah... and this fell out of a library book I was browsing on Thursday afternoon. In the Language/Etymology section. Imagine my surprise.

What is really frightening is the value of those used radiators. With home restoration being the in thing, people are paying big money to find ones that match the house. surreal

That is an awesome suprise to have fall out of such a boring book. My uncle Frank works at that radiator place. He's the old guy whole shuffles around mumbling to himself.
