Yesterday my dad threw a big party to celebrate the release of his first book. it's called Punk Poems and was released by Ravenna Press. (A local publisher.) So it was a good reason to celebrate. there were almost a hundred people in my house last night though. So it was super crowded. The celebrants ranged from old friends to co-workers to my friends and other local poets. And on and on. Ridiculous really. But it was super cool.

Anyway, I'm super tired due to all the cleaning and what not that had to be accomplished after the last of the guests left for the evening. Of interesting note was the arrival of my 7th and 8th grade English teacher. I was so excited to see her. I actually ran out to the front door to meet her an give her a big hug. chuckle.

Aslo, the family friends kept themselves entertained by hypothesizing over the various girls that I was talking to during the night. Being notoriously single means that when anyone of the opposite sex (that they don't know) is talking to me then it's somehting to rais eyebrows over. Apparently they thought there was reason to talk last night. Even though, alas, there was no reason at all. but still worth the laugh.
