I did something horrible to my back the other day. Still a bit stiff. Stretching it as much as I can during the day but working in a cube at a desk doesn't always help. Worst part wasn't the pain the first day; worst part was the immediate notion that, "Fuck me I'm getting old!". Chuckle.

Long week. Ugh.

Saw Stardust last night. Funny, but, as usual, the book was so much better it was hard to compare the two. Still, good fairy tale and all. I recommend the book before the movie for sure. Also, reading The Golden Compass atm too. Good stuff, pretty engaging all in all.

Girlfriend is coming over for dinner tonight, looking forward to that.

I had a great weekend. A little Bumbershoot ( The Watson Twins rocked), a little WoW, and a lot of time hanging out with my girlfriend.

Overcast skies are beautiful.

Got up at 6 this morning. Drove to Vancouver BC for a Buddhist memorial ceremony then have just arrived back home. Choking down a microwaved meal soon. Long day.

Spent the last 4 days on jury duty. It was kind of a surreal experience all in all.

The case was the state vs two brothers. They were accused of sexual assault charges against their younger cousins. The alleged incidents occurred 10+ years ago; when the young boys would have been 5-6 y.o. Gross.
