Today I ran into a girl that has been distinctly not returning my emails. So it was a bit strange. Because well, I don't know, I'd like it if she and I were friends but she can't even keep an email exchange up....I gave up on her somewhere around the end of last year. And I havn't seen her since. Well, until today. She says she'll get back in touch with me but I'm not holding my breath.

In other related news, a friend of mine was wearing a ring today as "practice" for the soon to be engagement. Also, when she said, "I'm wearing it for practice." Apparently that counts as telling me, "I'm getting engaged." meh. Apparently my reaction was something she found entertaining enough to relay to the soon to be fiance. chuckle. I wish I remembered what I said.

Anyway, her fiance (who I admittedly havn't met) kinda wierds me out. He's had this 2 year plan for their relationship that he's been playing out. I mean, honestly, when a guy says he's got a two year plan that encompasses, courting, engagement, a wedding in the summer, and a wife at home....you kinda have to wonder what he's thinking.

It's completely out of my realm of understanding why (1) anyone would plan that on their own (2) why someone could go along with it (3) how the hell is that going to work out. So, as a back up plan, I've promised the girl that if she slips me a 20 dollar bill at the begining of the wedding I'll be the guy who stands up and yells something when they ask, "Are there any objections?" (Maybe I should figure out what the line will be. Any suggestions?)

I guess I better be ready to take a punch from the groom though....it's only to be expected.
