date with J. went very well. he's just...wow. we walked around midtown a bit, caught some dinner, sat and talked outside of the plaza hotel (where the fountain is, it's trs pretty), then decided to get some dessert.
he looked down at his watch and wished me a happy birthday over cheesecake and coffee at 1:00 am

i blew off L.'s bridal shower. just because. it's nothing personal. it's my goddamn birthday so it's the one day i had to have everything be all about me.
i celebrated by dancing to modest mouse's "float on" with my 2 year old nephew. i just hope i can save that kid (and his sister too) from his parents. *sighs* anyway.
the mets game got moved to 1:05. my tickets said 7:05. i found out in the top of the eighth. no mets game for me. blargh.

rollercoasters are baaaad for libras with neck/back/head issues. [somehow, i'd forgotten. doh.]

it seems as tho we can get them in the westchester mall, and various places around manhattan. maybe we can head down there early on saturday and hunt some down?
