something i feel very strongly about is the subject of addiction. call me an asshole, but i have no sympathy for the addict. none whatsoever.
if you are too weak of character to look deep enough within yourself and realize that you have a problem (which, by the way, affects everyone around you as well) you have no fucking right to whine or complain about ANYTHING. get yourself help before it's too late. or don't. whatever. it's your life. but don't expect me to feel sorry for you because you have an illness which you permit to control you.
my father hasn't touched a drop of alcohol in nearly fifteen, that's right one-five, 15, etc. years. he also had a cocanie issue, but stopped that after he had a heart attack at 24.
he (at age 31) woke up one day and realized that he was going to lose everything he loved- my mom, me, etc. and quite possibly his life if he didn't quit drinking. he was at an AA meeting within 20 minutes and didn't look back.
don't fucking tell me you are powerless against yuour addiction when i have seen evidence to the contrary.
so yes. i have firsthand experience with severe addictions, and not just to substances ether, but that's for another journal entry entitled: libra has an instant family.
