Finally the semester is over. I am not happy with my grades. They aren't that bad but I was expecting better. If I hadn't had those two tests that I completely screwed up because I was so depressed from Bush winning the election, I would have a awesome GPA this semester. Plus on top of that I had to write 16 papers in three classes this semester: 2 two page papers, 10 four + page papers and 4 five + page papers. Not essay to research everything and be prepared when tests come around.
Here is my schedule for next semester:
Chemistry II MTuWF 11:15am to 12:10am
Chemistry II Lab Thurs 11:10am to 1:55pm
Genetics MWF 9:05am to 10:00am
Genetics Lab MWF 10:10am to 11:05am
English Comp 1020 Online
Pre-Calculus MTuWTh 02:30pm to 3:25pm
I wanted another class, but it would put me to 19 hours and they don't let sophmores do that very often. I don't have to take Pre-Calculus but I am considering changing my major to Physics and I need to know if I can do the math. If I do well in the class I am going to change my to a double major in Biology & Physics.
I have been playing way too much ESPN NFL 2K5. I have spent most of the last week playing it almost straight. It almost made me late to my Mircobial Diversity Final. Speaking of that final, we got to use a cheat sheet on it and I had about 98% of the information on the test on the sheet. It was 2/3rds multiple choice and 1/3 essay. I felt I made an "A" on the test, so when I came home from the exam I was in a super good mood because I felt I was able to pull out a "B" for the semester ( I needed a 79.5 on final in order to get a 79.5 rounded to 80 which is a "B"). I then looked at my grades online later that day and I had a "C" for the semester, I asked my professor what I made on the final and he told me a 78.
Needless to say I was shocked, but this is nothing new I can study my ass off or have a cheat sheet with all the info on it and I will end up with a C or D on the test. I have had only one test where I did really good on it, all my other test have been 80 or below (in college excluding cake classes). I have to depend on papers or extra credit to bring my grade up. The final in that class was a 110 question matching test. The test was worth 110 out 100 points, which means you basically got a free 10 question to get wrong. I scored 100+ on that test, because it was matching.
I tend to screw up regardless of what I know unless it is a simplistic format like matching or essay test with question(s) previously given. Sounds like a fellow brillant individual who also had the same problems, Albert Einstein was a C/D student through high school and college.

Sorry to hear about your C. So close, but so far away. They say C is average, but I centainly don't feel "average" when I get one. You know? I just checked my grades and found that I got a C in my evolutionary psychology class. Ugh. Too bad.
