It was a slight burning sensation, but it wasn't that bad actually. Hilariously enough I was terrified I would be all wimpy and flinchy, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was also lucky that the tattoo took only about 40 mins. I'm sure if he had to really work that area it would have hurt like a bitch.
