This is turning into one helluva trip. Tears have been shed, laughter has been had, and frustrations are many. But we're here, we're alive, and we'll have lots of fun stories to share. *kisses*
The saddest part? My doggie doesn't seem to recognize me. Heart breaking stuff, seriously. It's been a year, so I'm gonna give him more time, but I swear it's the saddest thing I've experienced in a long, long time.
Maybe I should just admit that he's not my dog anymore? I mean, he's happy out here... the happiest he's ever been. And my parents love him. Maybe... maybe I should let go. I don't know, but I want to do what's best for him, and moving him to an apartment with three cats who won't like him and no room to run seems so cruel when he has the whole desert out here and horses to play with. I'm so very torn...
Good news is that it's warm (in the 80s), beautiful, and it's good to get away. Hope all is well for you all!

It's warm here too. The birds were out in the aviary and only freaked out once when a woodpecker landed in a tree nearby.

maybe he just needs sometime to remember...i'm sure he still loves you. and whether you let him be in the desert where he has more room or take him back with you he'll always be your doggie. always. his doggie brain might just be tired. but the love's still there.
