An August's Fool

Theres no fool like an old fool
And an old fool is he
Who believes trying again
offers a different path

Change yet does not gift smarts
A fool is ever wary of the joke
Sometimes with intelligence
Further does he prove incompetent

Foolish friendship and foolish family
That is all he knows
He contemplates foolish love
For the real one never forms

Others do not see
Behind the veil the fool is hid
If they did they would see
He is not truly the fool only
misunderstood, primarily by himself

No fool like an old fool
believes more
than when he fools himself
