Why did I just have to re-log in to SG? I was logged in, my widget was working. Would it have anything to do with the fact that the site is slow again tonight?

Yeah, it's grown, but I'm of a mind that my service should be the same (at least) or better than when I joined in November of '03 (how long before you...

Not so sure why, but I felt like my best pictures of me were when I was pregnant. I guess I felt beautiful and powerful with the monster milk boobs.

Old Skool is for members that were here before something wonky happened and they basically had to "reset" the site. wink

I have to post this somewhere and since the person it talks about usually reads my Thoughts blog I turn to you, oh secret SG journal.

So, I have this friend, the only one I truly call such anymore. Met her the summer after high school and though we've travelled many different roads, dammit it if those highways and byways don't keep intersecting. To the...

Standing in my house right now in shorts and a T Shirt and it's COLD!

That's not a complaint. I have been waiting all September for this. It feels like Fall. I stepped out to check the mail today and you could feel it in the air during noontime.

Back inside, I'm not waking up in a puddle of sweat (work nights, sleep days), unable...

Don't forget, TheFly, you also sold a couple copies of your book, Magica Residua with the potential for a few more.

And the potential to get into filmmaking in Jacksonville. A long shot, not much hope, but you never know... you think you'll win the Powerball and there's less chance of that.

I've just been doing some internet browsing (no, not for porn) about two men I greatly admire: the Father of this country (USA) George Washington and fitness guru, 93 year old Jack Lelanne.

Nothing more in this world I want to believe Washington was the amazing figure he has become in history. From the declaration about the cherry tree, to his abhorrence to electing a...

Fuck You, Greensboro! I near nowhere near you but I do have a well. And just think of how much money I save by not having to pay your water bills and taxes and all that. Fix the damn problem and stop trying to fix the blame! I have a prominent idea that the fines you're slapping down on Joe Q. Public isn't passed on to golf courses, the biggest users of water for lawn maintenance. Thanks for giving me another reason to stay out of the city limits.

And to the idiots still watering your lawns... IT'S FUCKING GRASS!! It's grass. It dies every year and comes back. Like a teenager's acne covered face my yard has a combination skin: rye grass to the side, crab grass and dandelions scattered throughout and a big bald patch to the front side. Deal with it, you pompous assholes. And then when the city tries to cite you for having a poorly maintained yard tell them you're doing your part to conserve water year round.

That analogy was too much of a stretch, wasn't it?

Oh, look... it seems SG STILL prefers to endlessly update the site instead of leaving it alone and leaving it usable. Even in the middle of the night, when the rest of the internet is so accessible (read: speedy), SG lags behind.

Please, stop the updating and let us just use the damn site.

Is there some reason why this site is moving slower than dial up (seriously, I compared it to a computer on dial up). It would sure be nice to visit SG anytime and not worry about such loss of browsing speed. WTF are you doing, SG?! Updating is one thing but if subscribers can't access the site WTF is it good for?!

Sincerely,

A disgruntled...

Yeah, SG must have changed its software. I notice that adding comments takes longer. But, be that as it may, I still love this site.

hecklongtree:
Yeah, for me, SG is a genuine online community. It's definitely more of community than MySpace, where you're constantly bombarded with people trying to sell you stuff, especially women trying to sell you pictures of themselves.

... And I never understood the fascination with older women. I'm not talking about internet porn sort of way; I'm talking about, for example, the 7-8th grade science teacher we had in middle school. All the boys were talking about how hot she was (and one graphically showed what he would do when he went trick or treating at her house and she didn't have...

Sorry, no funny little anecdote this time out people. I have a question that has been bothering me since (that I remember) sixth grade. It's, unfortunately, a question about the sexes; but this isn't a guy asking a question about a girls question. It's a guy wondering about human attraction in general. The question is:

Why are people in a relationship always going on and...

A black cat darted across in front of me coming home this morning.

I was born under a bad sign.

I walked under a ladder.

I spilled salt and didn't toss a pinch over one shoulder

...

So I have a feeling I'm gonna win the lottery come wednesday.

God, I love this time of year. I've already got black cats, Halloween decorations, a pumpkin...
