Can you say, "EEEWWW!!!???" I spent half of my nite last nite scrubbing the tub in my second bathroom! frown How is it possible that people can stand in that kind of filth. I wouldn't even give the dog a bath in that crap! And I think it will be easier to just rip out the stove and the microwave and replace them with new stuff rather than try to clean the grease off of them! mad

On a more positive note, at least all that filthy junk is mine! smile And since I scrubbed so hard and cut myself (still bleeding) it was a strong lesson for me to just keep it clean rather than wait until I move to give it a good cleaning!

I'm almost finished with putting everything away and giving the place a final cleaning. Then it's off to the old place to give it a good cleaning and turn over the keys! frown That was my first place that was truly my own - no roomates, no spouse, no live in girlfriend. I had a lot of good times in that place and created a lot of fond memories. I'll miss it! frown But, I'm looking forward to all of the good times in my new place, and since I own it I can truly make it my own! biggrin Party in August! tongue

yeah, i was the same way with my last place. i've lived alone for about 7 years (yeah, that means i started when i was 15, parents divorced, moved with their S.O.'s), but the first place i stayed was at my dad's house. the first place i moved into from there was in the ghetto in Gary, IN, for about 6 months. it sucked, so it wasn't my happiest of places, but after a bunch of brief couch surfing I wound up out in DeKalb. It sucked out there, but the place i had was mine. i had a lot of cool memories there too, i was bummed to leave there, especially to live with people again puke . i'm looking again though, when i finally find 'home' again it's gonna rock. so i know what you're going through man.
