It's not like my wife and I are clingy and/or perma-attached all the time, but, it was the first time I think since we've been married that we've been apart for that long. We'll be hitting our 11th anniversary on the 18th and we dated for almost 2 years before we got married. She went to Italy to visit a friend and she was gone for 16 days. So it was just me and the cat and it was weird for both of us! He didn't eat much the first few days. He only does certain things with her and only certain things with me and and it was clear that he missed their rituals and that I wasn't fulfilling those missing rituals. I lasted about a week before I'd had enough of being apart. I'm glad she had a wonderful time but all is right in my world now that she's back.
