Well, I knew this day would come . . . the day I purchased my first gun. When I was younger I used to shoot with my friends but I could never justify spending the money on my own gun. There was always something else that I needed to purchase instead. Well, everything aligned this past weekend and the time was right for this to happen. So, I went to a gun show and within minutes found exactly what I wanted. I bought a Sig Sauer P320 Compact 9mm. Problem is, when I got it home I realized they gave me the wrong gun! It was visually identical but it was a .40 S+W not the 9mm. So I went back to the show the next day and they immediately fixed the mistake.
I wanted to go back anyways because the day I bought the gun I had to run out to a Concealed Carry class and the show was pretty much closed for the day by the time that was done. I walked the entire show, which was huge, and decided to buy my wife a gun as well. So I bought her a Ruger SR22. I then proceeded to buy us custom holsters, a thousand rounds of ammo each, and a cleaning kit. My best friend gave me a vehicle gun safe so when I can't carry the gun into where I'm going I can lock it in my Tahoe legally and not get arrested or get it stolen by any douche bags.
I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot that I didn't know. I also realized that gun laws in this country are totally inconsistent and fucked up. Things really are geared towards punishing legal gun owners. I took a dual class so once all is said and done I'll be able to conceal and carry in 41 states. I'm really only concerned with the 2 that I travel in constantly but as long as I was there I figured I may as well maximize my coverage.
