Here I sit, yet again, in Starbucks, aching to do other things. The weather sucks and pretty much prevents me from doing what I want to do, which is film. It warmed up a bit last weeks but it rained so combine that with snow melt and it makes traversing the areas I want to go into to film pretty sketchy. Couple that with an almost 30 degree temperature drop and it just leaves everyone sitting inside with seasonal depression wondering why they still live where they live. Blah!
Okay, bitching and moaning aside, I'm looking forward to spring and summer. I have a shit ton of filming I want to do and I can't wait to get out there every moment I can. If anyone in the area wants to come along or needs something filmed or photographed just let me know. My work schedule sucks but I'll do what I can.
My editing workflow has improved since I fixed my laptop overheating issue which has led to massively decreased render times. I'm thrilled at that! I'm trying new things and networking more to acquire new skills. Last weekend I shot with my friend who is a Blues guitarist and cut together a quick video of one of his songs. It was fun and it was great to be around someone with such a passion for creating. We have a lot of ideas that we want to work together to create new things so that should be pretty cool. On top of that we're basically trading with each other. I'm filming him and making videos and he's given me guitar lessons and showing me how to use music creation software for other video work.
I should probably make more journal entries here. I'm on the site everyday but I just don't make journals. I figure nobody wants to listen to me bitching all the time. Besides, my time is better spent admiring all of the beautiful women and amazing photography!
