it's weird how an 80's club makes you feel like you're in the middle of an 80's movie until the people get drunk and start mingling.
the skinny goth boy, the gay high ranking officers, the lesbians, the normals that just like the music, the normal that's there every single week, the lurkers, the girl that dances like no ones there but wants every one to see.
one of my favorites, the chubby slightly unattractive girl that dances her heart out because she has no illusions about who she is or what people see, and has more fun than anyone else at the club worrying about what they look like.
as usual, takes me too long to get over my public shyness to start dancing.
had fun though, my legs are very much out of shape and I tired very quickly.
ran into a girl I've run into a couple of times at "tragic tantrum" concerts. she was sweet, and disappointed when I had to leave, but I got two kisses goodbye, so that was nice, if not slightly frustrating, but I have to be at work at 6am, so i really needed to go.
this 80's night might be fun to do again, as well as be a good introduction to release me back into the goth community. I've been wanting to travel the scene again, so this was a good first step. Next up, therapy and sabbat. maybe I can actually ice pick my way past the wall of goth pretension and make some friends.
i got some hot pink hair gel, and found out I really like how I look with pink hair, so that's the next color.
so who wants to volunteer to bleach my roots and dye my hair hot pink?
