There is a quite a difference between actual political conservatives and neoconservatives. You're right, it's Bush's baby. He's the President. But there is quite a bit of evidence that neoconservative think tanks like AEI and PNAC have been pushing for this foreign policy for a long time.
I took my post down because I don't think it was ready for prime time. Upon review, I thought it possibly came off as a bit insulting and demeaning. I was not trying to label all conservatives as imperialists or hawks. Such a generalization is irresponsible.

I'm sorry, my friend...I know what it's like to have some sucky feelings on Father's Day.
My dad passed away a little over nine years ago due to lung cancer, and Father's Day is always hard for me. Today we took my 90 year old grandpa out to lunch, though. That was nice.
