Another notch in my nerd belt as I took, and passed the CISSP exam today. I originally started out just wanting to pass it so I could use it to leverage myself against people with the same amount of experience in our line of work, however, my boss then financially motivated me by telling me if I passed I would get a raise. So back in January I set a goal to have this thing done and passed by June 30th, 2014. I am happy to say I was able to meet that goal after only 1 attempt (and in 2 hours only).
Now that I am done with it, I'm tossing around some ideas of what to do with my free time. One of those things was possibly starting a security related blog in which I write about various issues going on, my view, etc. Possibly add in some how-to type stuff. Not totally sure as I tried the blog thing earlier last year and kind of lost interest. It's probably the same reason I don't really blog on this site.
