...And I realize I haven't been on the site as often. The cold, spacious feeling hasn't gone away, and the screen filled with links to new blog entries and photos of my SG friends has been been replaced with what, I guess, will result in more clicking around? (Five or six things, as opposed to an entire list/feed, tons of photo links, all on the same page.) Not sure if SG needs higher traffic, as they already have subscribers, but I could be wrong. But it's about as exciting as going to a restaurant and ordering every item separately in different, bare rooms. The food may still be good, but that's almost beside the point (yes, the pictures DO display better, that's one of the few improvements that I've noticed). I loved this site, and now it's just another place to stop by once in awhile. Sorry if I sound like I'm yelling at the future to get off of my lawn, but sometimes change is just, well, disappointing. I think it's time to stop talking up SG to my pals. What a flipping waste. I'll leave off, because I'm just getting mad again, at whomever decided on these clumsy design changes. It's like being on a Martha Stewart Living shopping site. Fuck it.
