Saw the post-Danzig Misifits this weekend in Santa Rosa. They kind of took a Ramones approach: play everything loud and fast, with no pause for breathing. In that, it was effective, and fun. It ain't the inspired macho insanity of Danzig, but it is a good thing.
Perspective: I went with an old friend who has two kids and almost never gets out, let alone for a Boys' Night Out. We had several beers, it was fun. The next morning, I was up early to go see the Raiders with my cousin (I prefer the Niners, but it was a luxury box, and free, so...) While I tidy up, make breakfast, etc, my friend is going through hangover hell: headache, puking, and so on. I was thinking, "Jee-zus..."
I suppose it's healthier, but damn. I'm glad I don't have two kids and a wife that I have to ask permission to go out every time. I went on my merry way to the football game while he slept on. I guess everything's a trade-off.

I usually keep running outside in the winter, unless it's blizzard like outside, OR very windy. I actually had my picture in the paper a few winters ago, and the title was "Now That's Dedication".
