so i biked into work today and it took me 45 minutes ... puke That is so sad ... three years ago i was able to do it in 35 minutes.. I need to work on that..

And the first step to working on it is to buy a new bike (well new for me)

In an effort to temporarily feed my needanewbikeitis i skipped going home and decided to ride a bit up easton road to keswick cycle. I drooled over the sweet bikes for about 30 minutes while talking with the salseman at which point he says "hey wanna take it for a test drive" I agree knowing that this is an evil double edged sword he is offering me. on one side it may quell my hunger for a new ride but at the same time make me want it more. after they put generic pedals (with toe clips) on the bike and give it a quick once-over they take my driver licence and show me the back door and tell me to come back when i am done. so i ride the bike for about 10 minutes before i even realize that i am in the hardest gear . all this time i am tooling around going up and down hills with ease. after playing around with the bike for another 5 minutes or so i am sufficently impressed with the bike and return to the shop. i chose the correct edge of the sword and my hunger is quelled. It brought me back to reality and made me realize that the bike is awesome but it is not the bike-sent-down-from-the-heavens that i was wrongly expecting. I needed that grounding, especially since the price tag is $2000 before pedals, computer, new helmet, shoes, etc.. total price after tax would probably be ~$2500. The grounding is exacly what i needed.

I will be bidding on that awesome looking bike that i found on ebay, (see previous post) but this time i know more about it and i will be bidding for what it's actual worth is (instead of the value i was originally going to put which was significanly lower)

And for all of you (well all one of you) that said i should stay rambly remember this is what you get
