So i saw Ani DiFranco in concert last night and because goob is so awesome my tickets were upgraded like 15 times. I started out with crap, back of the auditorium tickets but after goob worked her magic I was sitting in the 9th row center section.

The show was awesome and we had a blast.The opener was Hamell on trial and he rocked. I have never heard an acoustic guitar make that much sound all at once. you should go out and buy all 4 of his CDs right now. NOW!

Ani did mostly newer stuff that i did not recognize but it was the usual deep meaningful lyrics that most Ani songs have. The one lyric of the night that hit me the most was "your entire live distilled to one 911 call" I don't know why it hit me so hard. I have never experinced the death of someone close to me and i have never needed to call 911 for any real emergency but for some reason i felt extremely sorry for her. (this empathy thing is very new to me, i am a cold, distant son of a bitch most of the time)

Well the show was very good and i'm glad i was able to go.
