In August last year I decided to bring my reign of analogue fuelled terror to Margate - a place that somehow manages to shine with saccharine 20th century optimism despite clearly crumbling away from being neglected since the 70's. Here's a few snaps of some things from the seafront and a scale railway. Will update with more later.
Myself and some work friends decided to do a litter pick in order to give something back to the community.... And because our boss told us to. It's incredible what people toss into the bushes round here.
a few of the weird and wonderful folks I met at Download '12 - affectionately referred to as Drownload cos it just DIDN'T. STOP. FUCKING. RAINING. (until the last day) Anyway - this was all shot on some cheap-ass colour film I bought from Boots for a fiver, but i think they came out lookin' pretty boss.
so for those who don't know me, I am bloody obsessed with motorbikes. that is, if the beard, bandanna and long hair combination wasn't a dead giveaway. Sifting through some old shots I found these from a visit to the Ace Cafe in London - met some awesome fellow bearded biker dudes, and had the pleasure of consuming the most wondrous bacon sandwich and cup of tea I have ever had. All in a 1950s style diner, surrounded by awesome choppers and rat-bikes, and their equally awesome riders.
Was just sifting through some old work, and found these shots from back in 2013. A friend of mine threw a 1920's themed birthday party (The Great Gatsby movie just came out, so everyone was doing it) so I figured the only way to shoot this would be with my grandad's old Nikon and some 35mm film. Enjoy.
Every year my grandma's side of the family get together in January to swap presents and catch up. This year I brought my camera with me. Enjoy. (PS: We're not always perpetually grumpy at parties.... We do smile. Sometimes.)
