I'm a million ages past you
A million years behind you too
A thousand miles up in the air
A trillion times I've seen you there

Your hair is golden, mine is grey
You walk on grass, it turns to hay
You blood is blue and mine is red
My body strains, but the nerves are dead

I can't reach you
I've strained my eyes...

luckyrabbit:
did you write that?
shando:
I don't know about that, but I can't believe I could come up with that as I went and still somehow tie it all in together, while also incorporating several themes underlying the main theme. It makes me excited for what's to come. I thirst for more creative expression love lovelovelove biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

You take away the breath I was keeping for sunrise
You appear and the morning looks drab in my eyes
And then again I'll turn down love
Having seen you again
Once more you'll disappear
My morning put to shame

They were actually a joke gift from a friend of mine and they're too big. He now claims he couldn't find them in my size, haha! But because of that I didn't really think of them when I was packing.

The country of my fathers
A proud land of old order
Like a goldfish being swallowed by a whale

Rael, the home of my religion
To me the center of the Earth

The Red Chins in their millions
Will overspill their borders
And chaos then will reign...

OK. So here in LA, we have some odd characters. One of them was this skinny little guy who was seen constantly walking. Just walking. Day and night. In tiny gym shorts, no shirt, always with a newspaper. Every day. For years. They called him the Silver Lake Walking Man. He became a mythic neighborhood icon.

So, the Walking Man dies this week. Tributes pour...

I had a giant epiphany yesterday. The kind where the sound in the room changes, light from the windows changes direction, you feel taller even when you're sitting down.....that kind.

I love these...but they're only good if you act on them.
