All right, well the job I was trying to create for myself with the English music company didn't come through. Since I was trying to create something from nothing rather than respond to a truly open opportunity, I don't feel as bad as I could. However, I dislike my current job so much that I'm ready to scream.

OK so tomorrow is my audition for this band that's playing in front of 1000+ people in Las Vegas in two weeks. I have 8 songs to sing. Not even playing bass, which is my thing...just SINGING. Update - OK, so it's really only eight songs I have to learn for this very large performance, singing the songs of a very popular English ska band that everybody knows of (they're very Special). My first rehearsal with them is this coming Friday night, and the gig is the 25th in Las Vegas.
