I made my first full dress yesterday, I thought well i've played around with customising other things i've bought items too big and taken them in, added bits and bobs etc etc but never made the entire thing from scratch. It'll be a piece of cake i thought. WRONG. I managed it and i did a pretty good job if i say so myself but they might as well write instructions in bloody marcian. I have learned a whole new special language called "sewing lingo" and new and interesting skills. I know how to baste a seam, apply fusable interfacing, and use an ajustable zipper foot...in two days i think i'm pretty chuffed with myself. UNfortunately the dress is too big as i obviously overestimated my girth I may make a start on the next one today but i'll be using patterned fabric so that's slightly terrifying.

I watched the fantastic four fillm last night. :l It was okayi think they went the right way by making it comedic otherwise it wouldn't have worked at all. Though what is the ending all about. It's like .... set up... this is how they get their powers...set up....isn't Jessica Alba hot... set up...the human torch isn't he funny/crazy/cute.... set up... this is why Dr. Doom is not a nice guy.... END bam blink and you missed it. It's like wait a second it's finished already??? Though with the huge set up for 2 i suppose the sequel may satisfy some lust for action is my action super heros. *sigh*

Lastly i want to make a mention of my wonderful friend Nadin (pronounced Nadine yes i'm aware there is no "e" unfortunately when her father registered her birth he didn't realise there was one.) She is the one of the most amazingly beautiful, intelligent and caring people i have ever met. She is better then both YOU and ME and that there is a FACT. She is currently saving lives in an AIDS education project in Iringa, Tanzania.
