So I did exactly what I had intended. I spent my birthday in Phoenix, and saw Muse. I must admit, they put on an incredible show, musically and performance wise...however, for my favorite band, I was sad to say they had no interaction with the audience whatsoever. Perhaps it's because they're really focused into what they do, but I felt almost as if I had gotten gipped.

I watched the majority of the show in the front row by myself, while Amory tried to smuggle me backstage, using the excuse of it being my birthday. Didn't work.

Tonight I have the oppritunity to go backstage, but the guy who will get me a backstage pass, says going backstage entails being "scandalous" with the band. He said he's seen some pretty raunchy things go on on the Muse tour-bus...and as much as I hate to admit it, I lost a great amount of respect for them when I heard that. I realize they are "rockstars" and along with the rockstar territory, involves, sex, drugs etc etc. The whole sha-bang. But if I can't even just meet them for a tiny bit, one of my TOP 5 FAVORITE bands...unless I have sex with them....suddenly, my interest just dies down a lot.

I also got to meet herotozero, who was an absaloute sweetheart.

Well, let's see if I can get some strings pulled and go to the show tonight. And in spirit of vanessa, I'm wearing the new matching black snow boots we bought. Woooord
