I recently read this theory:

If toast always falls butter side down according to Murphy's law, and a cat will always land on it's feet, a perpetual motion machine can be made by attaching a piece of toast to the back of a cat and throwing it out of a window. the cat and toast combination will simply spin inches from the ground unless either...

Unless the cat is arthritic like mine and lands on it's chin and does a back flip before landing in a dazed heap! The thing about the toast is that it's always the last of the bread from the bag, which means a double blow.

The Lithium is what I take as a mood stabiliser. It's an awkward med as there is a fine line between too much and too little. This weeks blood test has come back too low. My doc's confused, so I have no chance. confused

Take care.

I am going to test this theory with one of the many cats that pass through my garden daily. biggrin

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Good things about the week:

Barbecue with some top people. Eating lots of meat, drinking gallons of cheap wine and talking complete bollocks about some very good music.

4 days off work. I can really get used to this shift thing. You know when you get to the weekend, and you're thinking that you need to get all the mundane stuff out of the way,...

You could say "don't stand so close to the mangler OH NO IT GOT ANOTHER ONE!" Or just "buy a washing machine you bloody cheapskates, it's not the bleeding 1900's"

I've moved it to your new one!

I think I need to sit down and have a word with myself. Something along the lines of 'Don't be such a mentalist, you idiot!'

I need things to distract me, and they should be on their way.

Dave has now moved out, leaving the house a bit subdued. But with an extra room, which is going to be where Ben is going to keep...

Right then.

So Saturday. Well, the train the internet told me was the one I wanted turned out to not exist, so alas I was unable to get a cocktail.

I did however get very, very drunk. Spent some time with some great people, drank a bread based drink at the end of the evening (Don't ask). Details are hazy, I know I had a...

Weekend?

Brilliant.

I will update when I can actually remember what I did on Saturday night. wink

I'm all in a bit of a flutter right now, nearly 5 hours on the train will do that. Add to that I've spent nearly all of today with someone truly fantastic, and you get a Very_Tired_But_Grinning_Stupidly_Pig.

I will speak to you all when I get I get this...

Work until 2 tomorrow morning, then early rise and off to London.

I'm going to try and find the perfect Long island iced tea.

Then I'm just going to get ruined!

See you there!

did you ever work out if you were you, or if you're someone else? And if so did you ever have a birthday or did you find out it's on another day and now you have to appologise to all those people who wished you (if it is you) a happy birthday

I've found that I observe people. And I observe myself observing them.

Sounds a bit weird doesn't it. But bear with me for a moment.

I went to Bristol the other night for a friend's birthday. I wish I could have stayed on for Neyrissa's gathering, but work had to intrude. It was rubbish. Kind of. Well. Hmm.

It should have been rubbish, but...

The only person I think I'd argue with more then I do with my friends is me. I can't imagine I'd ever actually like me so a room full of clones of me sounds horrendous. I'm sure one of them would end up like Rimmers clone.

I've just got back from work. It was Awesome!!!!

Yeah, I'm that sad.

I took my first live calls, so I've had a day of saving lives and making a difference.

I single handedly saved a truck full of babies from certain doom.*

I'm loving loving my job (At least for the time being)
