When I read drivel like THIS I find it hard to have any sort of hope or faith in humanity, especially American humanity.

The fact that there was someone who actually took tim to write this (and spell fanatic and extreme wrong) is very disturbing to me. Frightening. Fucking terrifying. Are people seriously THAT close-minded? Do they really think so highly of themselves that they can't see past their own noses? This is yet another reason for me to hate religion.

I once heard someone tell me that unless I have faith in God I will go to hell. My response was, "Sorry, I have more faith in myself." Fuck, I'd rather go to hell than go to a heaven where a being who calls himself our "god" lets his "children" do stupid things like make nuclear weapons, or lets innocent children in third-world countries perish because the rest of the world is too selfish or is too impoverished to do anything about it. Religion is full of nothing but hypocrites. I have been called "the most Christian non-Christian" before...And I believe it all comes down to having morals, common sense, and just being a good person.

Not just "having faith."
