Shortly after returning to Toronto, I was able to pick up my fully repaired and refurbished Hasselblad film camera! Im excited to be shooting and developing film myself. It will be interesting to see where this will take me from a creative side as the slow nature of film will require me to pay extra attention to composition, framing and all the other aspects that make an awesome photo. On top of that, the viewfinder is just a mirror, so everything I see through it is upside down, backwards and unversed.
But in typical fashion, when ever I finish something big with the military, something of mine breaks (last time it was my '04 GMC truck). This time it was the work horse that allows me to put out my work. My laptop had a catastrophic failure. The battery ballooned up, nearly exploded, and cooked some of the internals. Fortunately everything that was on it at the time was backed up on hard drives, no data or jobs lost. I dug up the macbook I used in photo college, it'll do for now, but a desktop build is on its way.
Have a fun and awesome Canadian Thanks Giving!
