Wow! It has been a while since my last post. A couple of weeks ago Sugarmama and I went to Wichita to see my big sister D get her Masters. It was nice to see her and her family and spend some time with them. The commencement speaker was an absolute train wreck. She was a recently unemployed local TV talking head that just spewed bitter the whole time. Face Palm. This last weekend we went to Dallas to see Paramore/No Doubt. SWEET! #2 on the list of best shows I have been to. We went down Friday night and stayed in the Hotel Lawrence which is about 2 blocks from the grassy knoll and schoolbook depository. Saturday we went to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden (www.dallasarboretum.org/), the Dallas museum of art (dallasmuseumofart.org), and the Nasher sculpture center (www.nashersculpturecenter.org/). We were gonna go to see the Crow collection too but after the first three we were tired and decided next time. The museum is flipping huge. 4 floors overall I would say 3 of those awesome and 1 meh. We also went to The Angry Dog (www.angrydog.com) which is just kewl. I plan on getting a t-shirt from them in the future. One thing we didn't count on was all the parking fees. We dropped nearly $100 on parking. I think I will be planning things differently next time I visit the Big D. But back to the whole reason we went. There was actually three acts. The Sounds (http://the-sounds.com/) opened up the show. They reminded me of Blondie in a good way. Next up was Paramore (insert squeal). Looking around quite a few seemed confused about who the headlining group was. They played a tight set including 2 cuts from their new album. Good stuff, I am stoked, as Rhys would say "I like the cut of their jib". It was still light enough that you could clearly see roadies converting over the stage. Everything was white. Speakers, the stage floor, guitars, drum platform, keyboard stand, all white. Curtain blocking view of the stage was all white. Most of the time I felt old and out of touch looking around at my fellow concert goers. The one exception being the guy in the 'Team Jacob' Twilight shirt next to me in the concessions line. I am thirty something after all. Once Gwen, Tony, Tom, and Adrian hit the stage (insert bigger squeal) it was just a blissful night. My personal favorites were Hella Good and Sunday Morning. I also loved the stage banter. Hells yes I sang along to "I'm just a girl" what about it? And now a couple of quizzes. Eagle Out!

Alien Invasion

1. If aliens were invading, what would you do, hide or wait by your TV?
I would still be expected at work. We close for Christmas and nothing else. I hope the Aliens have major credit cards and like to see sharks.
2. The aliens have landed and they haven't blown the planet to bits, how would you react if they looked like us?
Did not see that coming? I mean what are the odds. I would probably wonder if they were really aliens or time travelers.
3. What if the aliens were disgusting looking (like a pile of rotten cheese), then how would you react?
Sit back and watch.
4. The aliens are about to make an announcement and all communication goes out. Your neighbor says that she/he heard that the aliens have announced they are going to destroy Earth. Do you believe him/her? Why?
No. People talk some major smack. Anything that sounds like it should cause an 'EVERYBODY PANIC!' situation is usually complete crap.
5. The aliens have announced that they will share their knowledge with humanity if a certain person has sex with one of them and they call your name. To make it more palatable, the alien can change into any porn star that you want. Knowing that your partner will find out if you say yes, will you do it?
Probably not. I mean, how smart can they be if they pick me out of the entire human race. I mean my wife has bad eyesight so that I get but come on. You are gonna travel light years and pick funky time with me in exchange for shared knowledge? How good can the knowledge be?

Breaking the...

1. What bad habits do you have?
I get angry with myself for making simple mistakes or clumsy acts.
2. What bad habit would you most like to break?
I already have a huge bad habit down and beaten this year. Check back in 2010.
3. Have you ever overcome any bad habits? What were they?
See #2. Overeating.
4. Do you have any habits other people consider bad that you rather like about yourself? What are they?
I can be fairly blunt and I love sarcasm.
5. What habit annoys you most in other people?
Proud ignorance.
