Your daughter sounds like an amazing young lady, to say the very least... I don't understand why kids seem to be maturing so much faster these days. I've heard it may be due in part to all the hormones and crap they're putting in our food...
It sounds to me like you're handling it well, though. I think we need more "weird moms" like you!! The world would be a better place.
I do hope you get a chance to check out a UU church or fellowship some day. They are amongst the nicest and most accepting people you'll ever meet. I think there's a CUUPS group around here that I should check out.

second, i just turned veggie about a month ago. i loved & still love meat. i miss it often. i have a VERY sensative stomach & bum, so it seemed to help turning veggie. i have horrible stomach pains & heavy foods like meat dont help.
but there are a lot of other things to substitute. they have fake EVERYTHING. turkey, hotdogs, even fake chili for (my fav) freeto pie! ummmm....anyways. what im sayin is that it doesnt have to be bland & it doesnt have to be just veggie burgers forever. there are a lotta things out there. try going to the local hippie type market. they should have a veggie section. also. check out O's site, i think its called veggie challenge.com? i dunno. they should have a link on it here somewhere.

this may sound creepy but i read your journal all the time!.. sorry.. i am just a loser that way... ouch vegetarian eh? , well i mean there are miracle spices out there that make the worse tasting tofu taste as something you would regularly think was great! (or so i think.. then again i don't have a good sense of taste) in any case if you do go veggie friendly do it slowly all at once may be too overwhelming! and might just drag you into meat again...Boca patties are the best meat substitute!! honest! i didn't know the difference~! well i hope everything goes well!!
