My weekend was less than awesome. I topped it off with a huge argument with my mother.

I've got training all this week at work. It's a positive for me at the moment. I do enjoy my job for the most part, and learning more things can only make me better at it.

We did announce a Catastrophe today though. We've had pretty nasty weather. A lot of flooding and road closures.

It's only a few hundred claims at this stage, however I do expect to arrive at work tomorrow with at least another hundred claims lodged, and of course when the flood waters subside, even more claims will be lodged.

Welcome to storm season 2010. It's why I won't be making it back to the US this year, which I'm completely gutted about.

Amazon just reminded me that it's my birthday next month. It's going to be weird spending it in Australia. I've spent the last two birthdays in the US.

I guess I should figure out something to do.. or somewhere to go.
