Today was just another ordinary day - except I just received an email telling me we have qualified to play the NXNE or North by North East Festival in Toronto.
I think this could be a pretty decent opportunity to hook up with some real interesting people, not to mention the A & R contacts. They have accepted over 1400 applications this year, so we obviously had some luck on our side. I'm not sure where we will get to play yet, but the venue should be a large one with wicked sound. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I need to get out and find that 60's era sea foam tux and grab a pair of new black chucks, before it's too late. I only want to look my best. Hee!
I had ordered a new digital camera off ebay a couple of weeks ago and have just received it tonight. The ups guy shows up at my door and says "that'll be $125.05 please" I lose my mind and ask him what the fuck he means!?! Brokerage costs. Jesus - somebody really wants us to strictly buy Canadian up here? I can't understand this kind shit happening, I had already paid $25.00 US for shipping and handeling.
Oh well. Another broke weekend - a long weekend.
