i'll be traveling to santa fe for the new year. a traditional party, a dinner at a nice japanese restaurant and a reunion show of a high-school band made up of some old friends. then likely some hungover football with my dad on sunday. provided he has kicked his yearly holiday pneumonia by then. i always feel like the holiday season is touch and go with him after his heart-attack. i've never seen someone get pneumonia so routinely, and so badly.

I go nowhere I can't walk to and from on New Years, even when I'm not drinking, which I seldom do of late. Still, a toast to the back of 2010 and the face of 2011; may she be lovely and kind.
