alright. since i've never really met any of you except maxi and eisenheim in person, i feel like i can share something painful and slightly embarrassing with you all. i have developed a case of ringworm. it's athlete's foot, except it's on your body. now, while i am slightly comforted by the fact that over the past two weeks i have used enough tea tree oil and anti-fungal cream to completely wipe out the outburst on my chest and stomach, i can't seem to get rid of the infection on my left arm and thighs. fortunately it hasn't affected my face, neck, hands or nether regions, but i have never had a skin ailment outside of athlete's FOOT. while it isn't a dire situation, it hurts and itches at the most inopportune moments. like when i'm trying to sleep. it is also ridiculously contagious, so the minute any skin which actually SHOWS gets infected, i must go straight to the dermatologist and get some sort of stronger oral medication. actually, if the outbreak on my left arm and thighs doesn't recede in the next week, according to all the research i've done, i will have to go to the dermatologist anyway. expensive. so, for now i have to spend my free hours quarantined in my apartment, whose air-conditioning system is possibly the source of the problem, and my time at school/work inconspicuously avoiding touching anybody. which isn't actually a problem. the problem i'm having is the slight moral dilemma of possibly giving this awful ailment to somebody at the school, which i've been assured can't happen without direct skin contact. i have to go to school, and i keep any infected areas double-covered. i use the anti-fungal cream every morning and night, i have washed all my clothing and bed linens with anti-fungal soap and tea tree oil. i have spent $20 on anti-fungal lysol and sprayed it all over my apartment, which now smells like a tea tree oil factory.

so, any thoughts? other than going to see the dermatologist, which will happen friday. when i have a free minute.
