we learned how to make fruit tarts, sponge cakes, croissants, charlotte royals and linzer tarts over the past two weeks in pastry class. asian cuisine covered korea and week one of japan. i'll post some cool pix when i get them. and go into more detail about asian cusine. i'll never look at a croissant the same after making them, though. they are one-third butter. yikes. no wonder they're so damn good.

I was mighty shocked upon learning that interesting fact about croissants as well, but I'd say it's one of those things you're better off not even thinking about.
