what has your mind's eye been looking at lately? i need to live vicariously through some of you, because a near three week illness has pretty much shut down the big third eye temporarily. i'm kind of focused on culinary school, and always poker, but usually i have a smattering of projects or books or exercise or random shit to keep the edges of my...

it was hot. i heard a woman scream, she was frightened.

i drip venom from my lower lip. my love bit me.
her eyes speak to me like a snake. we shed our skins.

i am...

The 80's had the edge in videos, but the 70's had Curtis Mayfield...to close to call.

Sometimes I do miss the 80s, though I was born in '83 so most of my nostalgia is for the memories of what I thought the outside world was like when I saw music videos on TV.

so, today's my saturday. fixing truck, shopping for random stuff, doing laundry, cleaning house, doing homework from culinary school. tonight, i'll probably go to the bellagio and play some poker. only after all the bills are paid, and the truck door is fixed, though. i went to open it last night and 'crack'. now i have to open the window and let myself out. chicks...

What kind of job are you looking for? I mean, it is Vegas, wink.
I'm actually planning on going back to work once my youngest starts full time school so I should begin looking around myself. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go into construction though. Easy enough work for pretty good pay. And in this town, there's NO shortage of work.
Good luck on the job hunt.

i'm finally getting over my illness. i wouldn't wish strep throat on anybody. except maybe mitt romney. i think he and mccain are both beatable, though. i've got nothing against mccain. he seems like a very decent guy, for a politician. it's funny how reformist platforms always dominate after a republican's eight years are done. i suppose everyone but an incumbent will run a reformist...

I'm so offended by Hilary Clinton as a woman that, no matter what her politics are, I'd never vote for her.
I knew Romney would win here. I mean hell, on the mormon vote alone, the guy had it in the bag.
I'm still not sure what I'm going to do in this election. I mean CRAP it's really difficult but, all I can do is be educated about the candidates and the policies they stand for, and make my decision from there.
Being a grown up is kind of a pain in the ass sometimes huh? wink

I'd vote for McCain because of the frozen french fries they sell at Sam's Club. And that was my Homer Simpson moment of the day, thank you very much...

have any of you watched the world series of poker 07 on the television? if you have, you might have seen a blind man named hal lubarski, who plays with the aide of someone who tells him his cards, and the communal cards. hal used to play poker as a pro, but developed the terminal eye condition, and now perserveres through his disability to continue...

thanks. and shit.
ferretbite:
This whole cuisine thing always makes me hungry, which isn't necessarily a bad thing except for the fact that I end up craving food I can't find.

I was mighty shocked upon learning that interesting fact about croissants as well, but I'd say it's one of those things you're better off not even thinking about.

I love Egyptian mythology. It's so dark and beautiful at the same time.
