halfway home in my greatest 100 albums of all time after these 10 classics. i included the live dire straits so you can get a grasp of how talented mark knopfler is. just an incredible gift. i get goose bumps whenever i watch that footage. it's also interesting juxtapositioning from the other video i chose from the 'old grey whistle test' ; zztop's cheap sunglasses....

Here's some info on it. I just downloaded the song by itself off of some website at some point. Can't remember when or where. I think it's in the Nirvana boxed set too.
ckdexterhaven:
Bob Mould kicks ass. You mentioned ZZ Top up in your blog there, I watched this concert they did a few years back on VH1 Classic recently. That's a fucking rock 'n roll band right there. Just guitars and drums up in your face. Gotta love it.

here's one for you. debut song, debut album. one of the most underrated bands ever. i'm showing my stoner/headbanger roots. i know. this album definitely makes it onto my top 100 all-time. i've been compiling the list to share with some people at my 25th high-school reunion in 2013. the past 25 years have done little to dent the top 100 albums for me. does...

got an internship at the palms. i start next wednesday, then after one month i either get a full-time position there or move on to the next internship. which would likely be at emeril's table 10 in the palazzo. the palms would be a cool place to work, because they would transfer me daily from kitchen to kitchen. room service, restaurants, main buffet, etc...and i...

farah fawcett and michael jackson both confirmed dead today. although the michael i knew and loved died years ago. no matter what the king of pop had become, i think we'd all choose to remember him like this.

Long time, no hear. It hasn't been all that hot here. We've had nothing but rain for what seems like forever.

That food looks good in any weather.

I'm having serious financial trouble that's been going on much too long. I relate to what you're going through, and to your frustration.

I also relate to your feelings about moving. I hate the thought of it, but I'm going to have to do it within the next couple of months.

Choosing culinary over poker is definitely the wise move, especially in the long run. Poker can still be there when you have some discretionary income. It's almost impossible to win at any kind of gambling with scared money. I'm sure you'll be winning at the poker tables once things become more stable for you.

Good luck with everything you're dealing with. From what I've observed of you over the past year or so, It won't be long before you're riding high again.
