new year, less clothes.
perhaps i can start a trend.
when i came back from new york, as i often do, i threw my dirty laundry into a garbage bag to allow easy separation when i arrived back home. seeing as how when i did arrive back home, i was struck down with a cold, i left the garbage bag of laundry in the kitchen,...

Bummer... sorry to hear you lost your clothes! ALthough you have to admit that it's sometimes nice to clear out all of the old stuff and start over. But it's usually more fun when it's your decision to do it. wink

Next time you're in New York, let me know, we can hang out with the SGNY crew, they're a fun bunch.

right.
i don't make new year's resolutions, no. i make "decisions that happen to come up right around the turn of the calendar" you see, i've never had any luck with "resolutions," but i've always had amazing luck with re-invention, and that's just fine by me.

so.
~ i will floss every night. [i used to do this on a regular basis, and then i...

Wow, good luck with the resolutions. I found when I quit smoking (the first time) that I was most successful getting myself down to about 3 a day, then stopping altogether. That worked for about 2 years. Now I'm at 1 a day, have been for two years, and will be happy to remain there.

And flossing is always good. wink

now the evil cold from hell has mutated into the evil death cough from hell. which is just as much fun as you'd think it is. it's causing me not to want cigarettes for a couple of hours, and then the nic fit hits me over the head with an axe and screams "smoke, damnit!"
so i do.
i listen to things with axes.

(and...

hey ya tec, I'm saying my goodbyes to all the cool peeps I met on SG. My account ends tonight and then I'm outta here. I was so happy you were my friend. We had too many of those obscure pop-culture connections. You reminded me of B&S and I had em on my list until recently and no one else has Catherine Wheel under their favs. That was sooo cool. Well, I'll miss seeing your pretty face around here. I had such a cyber-crush on you! Take Care, I hope you start feeling better. jason@gojason.com

Shit all that sounded like a jam packed day.
I'm feeling like hell is going to be visiting me soon...I'm trying to fight it off ARRR!!!
Hope you get better
Happy New Year smile

so i had a small flute of champagne last night. it was decent champagne, and i am not a fan of the stuff.
a couple of sips from the boyfriend's scotch glass. and here i am, i arrived at work bright and early at nine forty five. after ten minutes of scraping the last night's frost off the car, drinking the coffee i had set...

I am indeed in "real radio," however at least you are in a rated market if it's Columbus! I'm, well, halfway between the mighty Burlington VT and Manchester NH markets (sigh) but my full-time job, also radio-related is with a company that provides radio ski reports to stations nationwide.

What format is your station?

You've had Elvis Costello on with you? that rocks.

I've... uhhh... had a guy from Badfinger and an ex-member of Boston on... whatever Yeah I'm classic rock.
ll_bean_j:
If I played "Waterloo Sunset" during a regular airshift I'd hear about it. Fortunately i have two hours to myself to play "lost classics" of my choice. Our station has a big signal but unfortunately covers mostly a rural area... although you can get it on I-91 in Vermont from the Mass. border all the way up to St Johnsbury, about 35 miles from the Canada border. That's great you've stood up to crap channel. puke

new year's eve and santa brought me a cold for christmas. gee golly, santa, thanks!

at home with the dogs i played and i played, and i broke up dogfights, and ate too much food, but still managed to shed some pounds (i do that at home, it's the oddest thing, must be all of that new york city hoofin'). and here i am and...

I should just write a script that automatically enters "sorry you're sick, get better soon!" in all my friends journals. Practically everyone I know IRL and half of my friends here are down with the crude. Hope you're better soon and have a great new year!

so, i am sitting here, doing my job, and the cover of prince's darling nikki comes up. i go on some tirade about how prince finally needs to cushion his bank account and has overcome his religious reservations and decided to go ahead and allow the foo fighters to release this "dirty song" after all.

and this dude calls up, and tells me all about...

Love the story about the Jehovah's witness. You can ask him though - it doesn't matter what you do - according to them, if you aren't one of the 144,000 chosen people then you aren't getting into heaven, regardless of what you do. If you are one of them, you're going to heaven no matter how much of a bastard you are. So who cares? Do you what you feel like. Have premarital sex. Especially if g-spots are involved. wink

one might think that after one became less busy they would have more downtime to spend on things like the suicide girls website.

no dice.
between my trepidation in going back to nuevo york for christmas (with the boyfriend in tow), my newfound time with said boyfriend, and christmas shopping, wrapping and cleaning, i haven't had a lick of time to myself.

1) i don't...

Sorry, I'd reply to your last entry, but I'm way too busy... hehehe...

yup, that's the reason why you move out and in my case away, very far away... Then you only have to deal with the crazy fam on major holidays. I was blessed with super-cool older sister though, so I can't wait to see her next week.

SO they took off points for knowing the answer to the Duran question? lame... very lame...

i saw Return of the King last night (monday) at 10:30, and you, most likely did not.
so there.

What did you think? I thought it was beautiful... but for whatever reason, maybe they were short on exposition or something, I felt like I didn't care that much about Gondor or the people living there. I found myself caring much more about Rohan and all of the horse-riders. That scene where they have the cavalry charge against the orcs... wow... orgasmic.

the art show went off without a hitch. over three hundred people filled this gallery, and i was running about trying to take pictures, talk to people about art, and get to the food, i was trapped between throngs of people, and my only hope for escape was taking the elevator down four floors to the stairs to climb back up all over again.

Sounds like the show went very well, glad to hear it. Did the boyfriend sell any of his art? That's always a nice bonus.

Enjoy the snow, we're just getting some now, it's very pretty.

And relax! The show is over.
gojason:
Congrats on the show. I've been in CA far too long. I had to hit up dictionary.com to figure out what snow is. ya! let's here for cheesy jokes! Sounds pretty though.

the back has stopped hurting. thank you rodney yee.
the rip on the left side that was killing me yesterday has stopped hurting. thank you rocket paced six block walk.

the boyfriend's art show is tonight. the frames and paintings are now out out out of the house and hung hung hung at the gallery. this house has been attacked with dust rags, vacuum cleaners,...

You should move #6 up to #1. As any artist can tell you, the best art comes from pain. But when you're in a blissfully fulfilling relationship, all you have left is self-induced sexual frustration....
wink Good Luck.
legionnaire:
Another unfortunate victim of "rechanneling of sexual energy." Ah well, think of it this way - at least it's contributing to the greater good by creating artwork. Glad to hear the show is going up, best of luck with that.
