It's funny you mention that about the Vanguard - the one element I kept thinking was missing was a thick haze of smoke. I think you're right - it really doesn't feel like jazz unless I'm drinking something strong (I had a martini) and smoking a cigarette. Speaking of which, how is quitting coming along?

And I hear you on this weather. It's driving me nuts. I really really really want it to be spring - because every day that it's not is just one more day lost before it's disgustingly hot and humid.
