Monday morning. The Warped Tour on Friday rocked. Rancid. The Murphys. H2O. Street Dogs. But no beer. What were they thinking?
It's Thursday at 11am and I'm enjoying a nice big cup of Joe sitting on a deck in Brookline planing the next few days. Couldn't get in to the Kings of Nuthin show last night. What a bummer! Showed up at 9:30 and heardthe door scream SOLD OUT! It was a mad house. I've never seen so many people for those guys. Maybe it was...

That stinks! I bought my tickets earlier in the day. Last time I saw the Kings at TT's they decided to cut it off as the guy was checking my ID. I wouldn't have gotten in if the club hadn' t evacuated because someone had a heart attack. I also had to wait outside in the freezing cold for two hours and they still made me pay full price! Grrr. I had come up from Providence and there was no way I was gonna miss that show!
Well, have fun at Warped!

Thursday afternoon and rainy. But I do have the distinct pleasure (and sting) of fresh ink on my arm. She turned out wonderful. More color to come in a couple of weeks, but I'll be posting shots ASAP.

Wednesday morning. Seems like summer is coming to a bit of a close at least weather wise here in Burlington. People are already gearing up (literally) for winter as evident from the massive free for all at Burton last weekend. Picture the chaos you see on TV when Wal-Mart has one of those crazy 7am post Thanksgiving sales where people spend the night in the...

Aww. I used to go to Sugarbush every winter. It's been a while.
I haven't been up to anything too exciting. Heading out to see the Kings of Nuthin play a show with Darkbuster at the Mid East on Wednesday. Getting ready for senior year of college
Watch out! I may be your competition some time soon
So did you get any choice gear?
I'm sure you'll be uploading photos of your new ink asap

Member joerocker and I will be hanging out. He is a fellow bass player and artist, so go introduce yourself!
On second thought I should probably keep you away from eachother because I won't be able to get a word in edgewise
Long time, no journal. I've been really busy at work and trying to enjoy the summer. And mostly trying to stay away from the damn DNC in Boston and the RNC in New York. Now that things are back to normal, I can get into the city again.

Life is good.... except for the chest cold. But that is past the worst part now I think. Also, Naughtia was on really good behavior today... honestly, I think the world of that woman, but there are times when she is just mean,
So to my utmost pleasure and salvation, Burlington has it's first Tiki Bar called Kahiki Moon. Very authentic down to the blowfish hanging from the ceiling. better yet, my friend Fisherman is winging in on Friday with "Fishermans Exotica Burlesque featuring Little Brooklyn and Peek-a-boo Pointe dancing" for the grand opening. The location is 1 Lawson Lane right where the old Ben and Jerry's shop...

Mid July...where did the summer go?
Back from the super July 4th weekend! It's never enough time.
missprint:
Thanks for the birthday greetings!
You were in Boston on the fourth??!!
It's Monday and I'm eagerly awaiting the countdown to a long weekend starting on Wednesday. Soundtrack at the moment: Heat (movie) and Involver (Sasha)
A great blazing sunny Wednesday. Hope everyone is enjoying it!
livingdeaddoll:
You look familiar. Ever hang out in Portsmouth NH?
livingdeaddoll:
Yeah--I think I saw you at the Tiki. Was someone calling you "Grandma"? It might have been someone else. Anyway, I am in Maine but spend some time downtown. I used to frequent the Elvis room back in the days before they served alcohol.
So anyway, hi. If I see you in Portsmouth, I'll introduce myself. Or you can, vice versa.
Cheers,
~L
