One of the saddest days i can remember.

Definitely a dark spot on his history (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chappaquiddick_incident) but overshadowed by his political contributions: health care, education, immigration, The Americans With Disabilities Act, lowering the voting age, minimum wage, limiting campaign contributions, human rights, and having the ability to see beyond race, class, gender, and socioeconomic status. Quite the legacy. The country has lost it's greatest ally of social justice and Massachusetts has lost a great friend.
